Welcome to Renken Dentistry of Belterra: What to Expect at Your First Visit

We’re excited to welcome you to Renken Dentistry of Belterra! Your first visit is all about getting to know you, understanding your oral health, and learning how we can help you feel your best about your smile.

Here are a few things to know—and think about—before you arrive.

What to Expect

Your first visit gives us a chance to get to know you and your dental health. Depending on your individual needs, your appointment may include:

  • Digital X-rays or other diagnostic images
  • A comprehensive exam
  • An evaluation of your teeth and gum health
  • A conversation about your concerns and goals
  • Recommendations for your ongoing dental care
  • Every smile is different, so we'll personalize your visit and take time to answer your questions along the way.

A Quick Check-In Before Your Visit

Take a minute before your appointment to think about anything you’d like to discuss with your dental team:

  • Do you have any tooth pain or sensitivity?
  • Have you noticed bleeding, tenderness, or changes in your gums?
  • Do you experience jaw pain, headaches, clenching, or grinding?
  • Is there anything about your smile you’d like to change?
  • Have there been any recent changes to your health or medications?
  • Is there anything that would make your dental visits more comfortable?

Don't worry about knowing exactly what's going on—that's what we're here for! Just let us know what you've noticed or what's important to you.

Feeling Nervous About Your Visit?

It’s completely normal to have questions or feel nervous about visiting a new dental office.

If it’s been a while since your last visit, you’ve had a difficult dental experience in the past, or there’s something that makes dental care uncomfortable for you, please let us know.

There’s no judgment here. We want to understand what you need so we can help make your experience as comfortable as possible.

We’re Looking Forward to Meeting You!

Your appointment time has been reserved for you, and Renken Dentistry of Belterra team is looking forward to welcoming you.

When you arrive, please check in on the iPad and a team member will be out to greet you.

If you have any questions before your appointment, give us a call. Otherwise, we’ll see you soon!
