Dental Implants and You

Does your smile suffer from missing or severely damaged teeth that need to be extracted? Looking for a permanent solution to restore your smile? With dental implants from Renken Dentistry, there is! We offer dental implants for patients that have missing teeth or plan on having teeth extracted. Not only can you improve the appearance of your smile, but dental implants also improve the functionality of your teeth as well!

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants look, feel and function much like a patient’s natural teeth. They consist of a tiny titanium post which serves as an artificial root and a crown which serves as a natural tooth. The artificial titanium roots will first be attached to the jawbone; in certain cases, where a patient has lost a significant amount of bone, a bone graft may be necessary before dental implant treatment.

Once the gums have healed, and the jawbone has successfully fused with the implant, the artificial tooth crowns will be attached to the roots, resulting in a fully restored tooth.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Many of the patients at our Springfield dental office wonder if dental implants are the right treatment option for them. In comparison to other dental treatment options, dental implants have many benefits which can include:

  • Function/Look/Feel like natural teeth.
  • Do not come loose.
  • Do not require adhesive.
  • Improved bite/chewing ability.
  • Improved dental hygiene/health.
  • Decreased bone loss.
  • More youthful appearance.

If you are tired of living with missing or severely damaged teeth, contact our dental practice today! We’d be happy to schedule an appointment to decide if dental implants may be the right treatment option for you.
