Is this dental insurance?
No, Health Assurance is not dental insurance. It is a discount subscription plan offered by your local Renken Dentistry office. Health Assurance will not pay for any dental services; you will receive discounts on dental services prior to payment. You are not required to apply for Health Assurance either. All you have to do is purchase online, and get discounts on necessary services This process is straightforward. No processing claims or paperwork.

How do I use my Health Assurance subscription?
Renken Dentistry offers Health Assurance for patients without dental insurance in Springfield, IL and the nearby communities. You can buy your subscription on this website. Once you’ve purchased, you’re a member! The next time you visit our office, be sure to tell the team that you are a Health Assurance member. The front office staff will verify that your membership and give you the appropriate services and discounts based on which plan you have. They will also print out a card for you to keep in your purse or wallet. Our friendly front office staff can always look you up in the system if you do not have your card at your appointment.

Who can be a Health Assurance member?
The benefits from Health Assurance can’t be used in conjunction with traditional dental insurance. Health Assurance is open to families, individuals, and even companies that do not have dental insurance.

Can I purchase a Health Assurance membership for a family member or friend?
Yes, you can pay for a family member or friend. When you purchase a membership, you will fill out a form where you will have the chance to enter the name of the member who will receive benefits.

What happens if I let my membership lapse?
While you can cancel your membership on the Health Assurance website at any time, you will no longer receive the benefits included in the membership if you cancel or if your membership lapses. Any dental services that happen while your membership is lapsed will not be eligible for discounts. While your dentist offers a 3-year guarantee on dentistry services for Health Assurance members, if your membership lapses within that 3 year window the guarantee is voided.

Do you offer a guarantee on dental work performed?
Renken Dentistry offers a 3-year guarantee as an added benefit for Health Assurance members. It includes all dentistry services performed at our dental office during the Health Assurance membership, for up to 3 years from the date of service. If you have had a procedure and require further treatment to reach your desired goal, your investment in the original treatment will be applied as a discount towards the additional dental care.

What happens if I want or need a service that isn’t listed in the plan?
If you want or need a dental service that is not included in your Health Assurance plan, you will be charged the regular price. We recommend patients with more extensive oral health care needs look into our Health Creator and Health Rebuilding Plans because the more work you need, the more you can save.

Will the benefits or membership fee change?
Renken Dentistry will notify you of any plan changes and you will never be charged an increased monthly fee without your direct permission. You can also use the Health Assurance website to cancel your membership at anytime.

Can you tell me how much dental care would cost with vs without Health Assurance?
Renken Dentistry can give you a treatment plan using the Health Assurance discount and a treatment plan with normal fees so you can clearly see the cost difference. Contact us directly at (217) 483-7177 for this.
